At the speed of light!

Wow, time keeps on  ticking, ticking into the future!

No spring here yet , still cold and snowy.

Lots on my list to.

First up , finish stitching up backs.

Two are ready and hanging in the vault.

One more to go and I can start layering.

I keep changing my process. I sew all the rows

then press, or press between each row, or only press

after they are completely together ( not ideal).

The best process seems to be pressing after

all the rows are stitched, but before the rows

are joined. Always learning!

First to layer is the pair of   Rainbow strips.

The recipient, sweet little Adylyn ,

arrived 2 weeks early! Her folks will

get the matching big one. I will have to

start another one for myself. I really like the pattern!

Then on to finish the corners for the

 APQ sew along Many Strips.

I have quite a few units left

so it should be just assembly.

I had to square up the center with some

wider seams and creative pressing but it is

laying nice and flat now,

ready to join up with the borders.

Border work took up a lot

of Monday but zoom meetings make the

work go smoothly.

This large neglected bin of treasures
 got pulled into action.

I found more low volume bits to use up !!
Just like Christmas to discover new usable bits!

Lots to do for the week and the month!

Stay safe and sew on !

  1. You've been busy! Your snow and cold doesn't sound like fun. It is supposed to be 70 here today. I like your Rainbow strips - lucky little Adylyn. I look forward to seeing the big one of that pattern. Many Strips is very pretty. "Creative pressing" is something I understand. ;)
Thanks for linking up with To Do Tuesday!

  2. Ahhhh....your little robin square is so pretty! It caught my eye and I actually smiled when I saw it. So pretty. "The Vault." Such a cute name to store those quilts in waiting. Your many strips is so pretty! That was a lot of work, but wow! The end result is stunning!

  6. I do like that stripey border what a great idea! Another great idea of yours is to make matching quilts for both the baby and parents, I'm sure they will be delighted with your gift.
