Going well!

September is shaping up to be a varied and

busy month!  Lots of change happening everywhere!

The gardens are are winding down, and going dormant

families are falling back into routines with school, and activities.

My September is chugging along with 2 quilts finished

and coming out of the closet.

The first up is a large hourglass quilt inspired by B. H.

but following the RSC colors of the month.

It was sent out for quilting and came back complete and beautiful.

The medium blue binding really frames

it well and sets of the hour glasses perfectly.

It has a single Hobbs 80/20 batt and will be off to a new family

as soon as it is labeled and

the accompanying baby quilt is complete.

It is still in the planning stage,
but I think I can see the final
design developing.

Next a lovely small, twin zipper style quilt

went under the needle and

is all stitched up and the binding is complete.

I tried a machine template technique

 and found it very difficult

to both hold the ruler and guide the quilt!

They may end up to be some very handy

pattern templates but I will try again.

The clamshell design turned turned out very cute

and this will be loved by a little GD I know.

Most of the rectangles in this quilt were from a

friend who overcut and had lots of spares!

Very successful month so far!

Stay safe and sew on.
