Guild Garage Sale , Oh What a Night!

Well, there is nothing more fun

than a garage sale.

Our guild just hosted one and wow,

it was fantastic.

I think it was just the atmosphere of finding a bargain,

and hanging out with friends not seen in a while.

Helping each other find some good bargains was fun too.

A 60 mm cutter, you must have one. This really great ruler,

got to get that too. It was a great night.

Here's my haul:

This beautiful yellow fabric,

a bit heavy in weight but very suitable for quilt backing and

some great thread and thread ends.

Thread is my weakness and I bought more.

I also found this wonderful

binding tool to quickly mark my stitching

line on binding.

Last but not least, I picked up this

wonderfully heavy pincushion.

I can just toss my pins its way and it will snatch them up.

One can never have too many pin cushions!

All the money raised go to a good cause the guild supports.

A great way to cap off the guild year and

enjoy the company of fellow quilters.

To it all off I forgot my sweater so now I get to go to a quilt store to pick it up bonus.

Stay safe and so on.

Stash Report

Well this is my first stash report in 6 months,

The end of June is here and I'm happy to report

that I'm always keeping close to the plan

of no fabric in this year.

My small purchase early on of

batik fabric, went right back out

as a donation to a gift basket for the quilt sale.

My most recent purchase of 3 1/2 m

of this beautiful yellow fabric

will turn into a backing for one of the tops

to be quilted this summer.

The stash report for the first 6 Months

of the year is as follows:

Fabric Purchased: 8.5 m

Used since last report  5 m, 3 m ( baby quilt)

Fabric In to date:  8.5 m

Used to date 2025 : 8 m

Total in .5m

Net Fabric in YTD: .5 m

There has been a lot of fabric

coming in the door in in the form of scraps.

Scrap Usage is like this:

4 medium bags in and the same out

as dog bed bits and donations so I am

holding steady .

Happy stitching.
