Mystery Solved

This quilt was a Guild mystery project that ran

for 6 months. This year seemed to be a mysterious year,

because I was involved in two mystery sew alongs not just one!

The total quilts from the mystery work equals three.

The Spring Fling sew along top ended up so

large that I cut it in half to make two twins sized quilts.

The twin quilts aren't done yet but the guild mystery 24-25

 is currently under the needle.

It is getting a wandering leaf.

First in white thread down the white pieces.

Then a multicolored thread will do the same in

the colored squares.

Bound up with a nice red,

it will be a great winter warmer.

Ta da!

The result is quite appealing and the

original design by my friend MA made it

 an easy to finish project.

Where's My Mojo?

My best buddy was commenting the other day

on a Saturday group she's in that is sewing  Mojo blocks.

They called them Mojo because they will be

inspiration to sew more and

create an interesting sampler quilt together.

It took me 4 weeks weeks to realize

that we're actually in the same sewing group.

I just happened to be away

the day they talked about doing Mojo blocks!

The blocks will be taken from the Tula Pink book

100 Modern Quilt Blocks.

I picked up my copy a number of years ago by

cashing in a gift card at a sewing shop.

My best buddy was with me so we thought

we would both sew blocks and

put together quilts from this book.

In the few years from that date,

she's sewn two sets of blocks.

I have completed five blocks total.

Luckily for me,  one of the blocks I have done,

ones chosen by the mojo group!

The block is drawn randomly once a week and

emailed to the group.

We can all work on them together on Saturday sew days.

All of them will eventually be

chosen so any I do are a bonus.

A few more are finished too.

All the material is coming from this big bag of scraps!

Happy Stitching!
