I needed an afternoon project ,
so I pulled out a box .
It is a spiderweb with 9 webs
worth of wedges cut
but no assembly done!
Quickly discovered the reason it was waiting .
The pattern says to join them with
diamond shaped pieces.
I think I just lost confidence
on joining them and they
slowed slipped into the UTTTC
( under the table time capsule).
When I opened this box, I had one of those
how did this happen, where did it go, moments.
I had actually " reviewed" it last year since
it had a dated label. It is in the
STSF ( star trek stasis field). Yes!
Too much scifi! Aliens are
leaving their unfinished projects!
I pulled out and counted the wedge piles,
found the directions and my notes
(hurray for notes), and Viola! came up
with plan!
Changed the design to square joiners.
There may be some partial or inset seams
here, but it will work itself out .
Inspired by a McCall's quilting article,
designed by Sandy Klop 2010,
gives a little hint on the age of this project.
So, assembly started by sewing
the wedge bits together
Piecing and joining is
always good for using up
scrap bobbins, so that was fun.
A few more.
