Show meet up!

Quilt show season really give us time

to meet old friends and makes new acquaintances.

This adorable piece was made by a guild member and

defines a quilt show so well!

Inspired by an episode of "The Quilt Show"

and Lisa Walton's fused applique technique ,

the initial layer was made up of section labels

from .. a quilt show!

Then she painted, added more interesting bits,

stitched, and finally embelished with buttons and embroidery.

Congratulations Sandra H. on a wonderful creation!

At  the show, an out of town blog reader

recognized one of my quilts and

tracked me down.

I must give a shout out to my blog reader from Fairview.

It was a pleasure to meet you and have

a chance to share our love of quilting.

My first experience doing intake

and return of  quilts, was really positive.

I would certainly volunteer to take that assignment again.

The entry receiver did a fantastic job of

organizing the intake forms,

so setting up the quilt intake was a

joy with minimal confusion and smooth function.

Now back to quilting progress.

The current quilt to be pinned is

number 3 of the black crazy log cabins.

There are a total of four of these crazy log quilts.

They each have a different outer border.

I may go just as crazy and quilt them one after another

so I can show off pictures of the quartet!

So far 1 is pinned with one on the table and

another on the rack .

Here are the variety of border treatments so far.

The last one will get crazy bricks all the way

around the center quilt.

The batting roll is getting smaller

and  I'll have to order another soon.

Look at all the space on the rack!

I will keep pinning until I am out of pins or batting.

Sounds a bit like a song by Ian Tyson doesn't it?

( When I can't play I'll sing...)

Happy Quilting!

Stay Safe and Sew On!
