Flying into April and making some progress!
I had a great Friday getting the brakes
replaced on the Jeepster. All the unscheduled time
let me leap ahead on a bunch of projects and I finally feel
organized and my sewjo is renewed!!
Follow that up with a surprise guild sew day,
(a surprise to me, I forgot) and I got heaps done!
A bit of purple was sewn up into some 5x5s,
the crumbs even ended up with their buddies!
The one pink finish has been joined by the
accompanying Mom and Dad quilt laid
out on the work table and ready to be pinned.
I even got a table full of gifted scraps/larger bits is sorted and
ready for filing. A great day to be in the sewing room!
A few small successes and some sunshine can really
improve a mood and give you back your sewjo!
I've made a nice stack of green log cabins,
all sorted into groups of 10 and marked with a clip.
I even managed to keep the cut-offs to a minimum.
A big bag built up for dog beds but
there has been a bit of controversy
over the stuffing being eaten by
the rescue dogs and causing blockages.
So I will continue to use my little scraps as much
as I can try keep as much as I can out of the landfill.
Last but not least, I was motivated while cutting
batting for the log cabin, and managed to
cut up 6 more pieces for other quilts!
