Orange you with me?

 I really thought I was

finished with orange!

Then I saw Orange tiny houses

over at Making a Lather and

felt the need to locate more

orange and get busy!

The last orange houses

I made seem to have

light but colored backgrounds.

I guess this quilt will have

a colorful back ground!

The orange and white confetti style

quilt will get some additional white

this week too!

Filling in the white with my

found strips will bring the blocks

up to size.  If I follow thru with

other RSC colors and make a

few blended blocks,

I should eventually have a great

rainbow quilt!

A bitcoin spinoff I'm

making seems to have a lot of

orange too so I thought it would

be worth a design wall picture.

Have a great week !
Stay safe and sew on !

Working for the weekend!

 Great weekend in the making!

Sew day, cool weather, lots

of fabric!

My to do for the next while

is heavy on organizing and

moving things along.

List for the week:

          1. layout block chain
          2. hang flimsies
          3. finish quilting up big ole strings
          4. work on some waffle blocks
          5. add white to RSC confetti blocks
Here are some pics of my tasks for the week!

Block chain is a take off on the Bitcoin
quilts that have increased in popularity
lately.(see what I did there?)
Some 2" strips needing a home, so
I sewed them up and have a pile to
layout.

Next up: my flimsies have been living
on a bench in the workroom.

 Turns out
there is an  almost empty closet I can
use to organize those piles into
a nice wrinkle free vault of tops.

The big ole strings is well on
its way to completion but still
under the needle.

Unfortunately , my waffle blocks
have managed to spread themselves
out all over my small sewing room.
I have a nice big mess to clean up!

When I get most of that list done,
I can work on my rainbow scrap challenge
blocks.

All in all , a very busy time coming up!
So stay safe and sew on !

Kon -do my reno!

So our  clean and sort dance is moving along.

The recent item out of the list-jar

was my upstairs makeup and

toiletries drawer .

Yikes!

I know  many of us have

a bit of a Jones for makeup

supplies and facial care especially

as we age and those

wrinkles just won't stay away!

I am so guilty of this,

I always tend to look at the makeup and

lotions on sale.

To justify myself, I do use a lot.

My province is very dry and

we all should up our moisturizing quotient,

both men and women.

I even have my MOMD ( Man of my dreams)

consistently using  moisturizer everyday!

1st I dumped everything out of the drawer.

Then I sorted by usage.

This works best for getting things

organized and actually making decisions.

If I categorise, then I can ridout

without feeling so guilty and

vacillating over every individual.

Also, I am big compiler.

I put like creams with like creams.

We always seem to end up with

duplicates of everything and

that always makes our storage unruly.

I do indeed cut open tubes of things

to get out the last little bit.

It's just my frugal nature.

The cleanout went pretty well!

I've got the items I use every day

in a nice wicker box,

backup supplies are tucked in a drawer,

out of the way but still available what I want them.

I even discarded some unused and

not going to be used items

to cut down on the clutter.

Big news is, I removed my daily supplies

from the countertop and it now lives in a drawer.

Makes the bathroom look much cleaner!

 Since doing the bathroom counters

is part of our upcoming rental it's

nice to have that sorted and consolidated.

So the reno is stalled . Mainly due to a
jaunt to BC and indecision , but one
item is complete.

Two beautiful new garage doors!

Keep tidy!
