We do love the Holiday season, don't we?
A very busy week here but our big family
Christmas happened and now we will
scatter, visiting , partying and Christmas
cheering all over the country and out of it!
Here is a beautiful set of hot pads I received
from my great walking buddy. She is very
talented, and always turns her scraps into gems!
No new stash report, but lots of items gifted
both to those in need and friends and family.
So enjoyable to give gifts of quilts.
I did promise a bit on my sew day progress.
Another sew day coming up too!
The black log cabin, 3 of 4, is well on the
way to receiving a black strike it border.
There was a drawing of the border for the last
top but it will remain a mystery for now,
( okay, I just can't find it under the wrapping paper!)
Sew day afternoons, are always a bit of a wind down
and I had a pleasant time stitching up a nice
stack of Teri Rowland blocks.
600 are needed for a full sized quilt and I am
a third of the way there. The little 3 1/2" blocks
are addictively fun to make.
The center of a wonky tree runner
went together surprisingly fast ,
but I ran out of background fabric
so it became a very raw edged
addition to our festive table.
