Lots of sewing going on here in
the sewing room but lots of scraps
still to stitch up!!
The borders for the RSC string stars
are coming along.
Now I just need to
make adjustments to make them fit.
Never an easy task but I can do hard things!
This morning I am working on a triangle
color quilt. This is one of my go to patterns.
It is oddly satisfying to
mark off each square as I complete it.
I use colored reinforcements on a
sheet cover. I have used wipe off
marker in the past too. The sheet
protector preserves the pattern and
keeps it from getting so wrinkly.
This design is a great scrap burner
but scraps and coat hangers always
multiply at night, so I have no shortage!
Speaking of hangers, the quilt vault is
turning over but not really decreasing too much.
Four string stars have come in and out.
Three are out for quilting with double batting
and one is ready for binding. I have added
two softer granny squares and done an
in and out with the red postage stamp top.
So really I seem to be whittling it down a bit.
I have four pinned and ready so I should get quilting!
Big news here, I ordered and received a new "electronic"
foot for my featherweight machine.
Woot woot. My original feet were frequently failing,
usually at retreats. I would have to open them up
and put the screw back on the switch. So this new
foot will be my traveling foot!
I hear my scraps calling so ...
Stay safe and sew on !!
