Rainbow Squares is Coming Along Nicely

Well, it looks like we've seen the last of the

2000 guild squares from millinium exchange.

They are in this nearly complete top!

Just a bit of tweeking to get the rainbow

borders to fit and it should be ready for the rack.

The remaining squares from three quilters

combined to make the center of this

Rainbow Square quilt top.

It started out as piles on the Discovery table

and some raw ideas.  Then, combined with

the tail end of a red squares with blue accent quilt,

and a false start on a green one,

additonal color family blocks are being stitched up to make

the rainbow border.

A wealth of low volume prints came

together to produce the neutral inner border.

This top finishes should finish around

55x 66 and will be a great gift.

Sew & Tell

Stash Report, Stitching Time , Scraps In?

 It's  the end of January

and I have one finish and no other fabric in,

so my numbers are holding steady.

This brings me to 7 meters of usage so far,

 with 0 fabric added,

so -7m fabric increase.

However with  guild /group

meetings coming up that may change

for February. We seem to treat fabric stashes

like a lending libray, meters move around a lot!

Sewing time has been consitent for the past two weeks,

catching some minutes every day and still working on the

Millennium exchange blocks.

A Discovery table clean up found these little posy blocks and

a new top was born.

They will be combined with some blue background stars

from this parts department:

and look something like this!

It's an exciting time for the begining of February

with a new top in the works!
