Halfway thru!

Well October is zipping by and

I have been busy with the last of the

retreats with some charity sew days ahead.

This week I managed to assemble the .....

drum roll please... RSC Star string quilts!

Two of each color each month and a few colors

of my own choosing and two tops are

ready to go!

( Except for the small boo boo in the lower right on the

second one. Did you catch it?)

A small strip to finesse the center

stars, and the in progress zigzag borders will

be ready to add. I was able to make a large portion

of the zig zag border with pre existing blocks in

parts department so that is good.

The  missing yellow square was resewn

and 5 more each of blue and yellow softer

granny squares got stitched up during a come

and go retreat weekend. The missing

yellow block has yet to turn up!

The blue square quilt was even finished

up into a nice twin size.

Its yellow mate

will get upsized this week and then to decide quilting!

No borders for these two since they been upsized!

The RSC hourglass was finally labeled and

paired up with it's fellow hourglass baby quilt.

I sure hope the happy couple and babe love it!

The little elephant lovies I found are so cute!

I even made great progress on these pineapple

pieces!  Yum yum they are colorful!!

Still 2 more week of sewing ahead before it is

time to think of our favorite winter season

holiday!

Stay safe and sew on !

    1. There is no gift like a hand made work in fabric. They continue to be enjoyed since the variety of fabric is so great! Yay scrap quilts!

  2. You are a quilting genie -- do you rub your sewing machine and all these beautiful strings magically appear so you can make bunches of different blocks? Just curious!

  10. Wow!! What a great batch of quilts. I love the scrappy string stars. I've always wanted to try a pineapple quilt. Yours is marvelously scrappy. Does all of the seams make it hard to quilt?
