Wow, who knew quilting could be so addicting?
Okay that is a redundant question, we all did!
I spent a wonderful Friday evening
with a nice stack of 2" squares.
Just some prints, and solids and a
lighter series on TV that wasn't too dramatic.
(The Finder on Disney)
I blame it on UFO Challenge over at Country Stitches.
First I got out the zipper quilt to pin.
It needed a back so that resulted in
a browse of the stash and a look at the
yardage purchased at the Grannies sale and
No extra space left in the closet!
I found a nice geometric print but alas,
Off the to the parts corner and a wealth of wonky stars.
Two incorrect attempts at sewing and cutting later,
I finally paid some attention and got a cute little back.
Isn't it fabulous!?!
Wow, it's a doozy. Really needs love all around.
Remember that postage stamp border? Sew on and sew on
and lots of fun and relaxation interspersed with some
spousal walks and another ta da is born.
I made a great dent in the 2" squares, managed some
sorting and have a nice pile of blocks too!
A bit of pressing and trimming and this top can
go together! I will keep whittling away on the 2" boxes and
maybe make some room on the shelf!
Just a quick peak at the the four star chain tops.
The borders are all finished and they are in the vault ready to layer.
The sawtooth borders really finished as a nice surprise
and set off the stars so well!
Any guesses on where I will be heading next?
Stay safe and sew on!

DeleteWow! Look at you go, Deb!!! On to ORANGE for the RSC???
ReplyDeleteOh yeah! I didn't make a good plan of RSC blocks in Jan so I just wing it! At least 2 string star blocks, another orange crumb, some houses and a string coin baby quilt. Lots of fun to have and stitching to do!
