Welcome to you!

Welcome to the new year coming,

and Adieu to 2021!

A time to plan and start and finish!

Two flimsies are ready for the vault.

This pair will be quilted up

and sent off to a couple once

their little one arrives in March.

Two more couples are expecting

in the new year so lots to plan and do.

This color pearls wedding quilt, needs

a matching baby quilt for a little one

arriving in January.

As you can tell , I am trying to get

a jump on my new year and plan out

projects and some finishes.  I keep

coming across "really good ideas"

that just pull me in.

Yesterday , I had a lovely sewing

session with the DIL and stitched

up some flying geese using my box

of 2 1/2 inch half  squares.

I started out just randomly joining

the pieces to make flying geese.

The girls suggested I color family the

geese and that really brightened things up.

We had great conversations and lots of fun.

This week has been marked by absolute

deep freeze temperatures .

It has been a great time to shelter and sew . Helping

out with the GKs and traveling about

town when it is this cold has been a

real challenge but the whole community

seems to be focused on keeping

everyone safe and warm.

Organization is always soothing so I

revamped my current projects binder

and added a section for RS (Rainbow Scrap) challenges.

Keeping all my instructions and progress reports

(read scrawled notes on pieces made)

in one place should help keep me moving forward!

I put in the binding calculator from

Geeky Bobbins too!

Now to review my To Do list and

get to stitching! I will leave

you with an inspiration from

my reconnected cousin. May it help

us find direction for the new year

if you need it , if not just find some

inspiration for continuing our

growth thru this journey we call life!
