Yay, my first finish of the year.
This big beauty finishes at 66 x 74.
The second of three,
this 8 x10s quilt,
has a great paisley back.
I had so many strips out and ready that
I had enough for three tops.
The first large one that I finished was a gift.
It fits perfectly on the king-size bed of the recipient
without too much overhang.
It did take a bit of time to choose the binding for this one.
It needed to be something that would
complement the colors or pull them in,
as well as suit the black on each block.
I finally figured out that I could use one of these
lovely confetti-type black yardages.
It's time to free those fabrics and start using them!
It certainly worked well for this quilt.
is sewn together and on the rack for
future layering and finishing up.
The First Finish of 2026 is definitely
something to celebrate.
