There are a number of tops on the quilt rack and
all except one still need pinning.
I do feel a pinning day coming on.
Fortunately, I've had quite a few requests for a quilt lately
so I have lot of homes for them.
Coming up I have two weddings,
one Outlaw request, and two adolescents who keeps stealing
their parent's quilt and would really like one of their own.
One wedding is very close so I will take a completed
quilt from my quilt closet for the gift.
The decision was easy,
as it is the only large enough.
I like queen sized for weddings.
This Crumby quilt, will be perfect.
It does urge me to make some additional
large quilts to have on hand for gifting.
This one comes in at a nice 87" square.
Usually I try to have the wedding
gifts professionally quilted,
(my imposter syndrome is showing).
This one ticks all the boxes so
it will get wrapped up to go to
the wedding in 3 weeks.
The rack tops were all measured and
they are all large twins.
I think the next queen quilts will
again be scrappy. A friend follows
the RSC blog and uses the monthly color draw
as a star or square in an ongoing quilt.
I think that's a good process.
I'll jump on that bandwagon real soon.
I do tend to repeat my favorite patterns.
That would allow me to make as
many scrap Stars as I want.
Here are the family Christmas
gifts from past years.
I am excited to see these
coming up again in the workroom!

Really like those star quilts. The HST border sparkle.
ReplyDeleteThey are so much fun to do also. The 6" blocks make the quilts get large very quickly.
