Woo hoo! This poor quilt has
been languishing for a while,
pins and all , for over 2 years!
I do get excited and often use quilts
with the safety pins in just to try them out!
Thank you
for the push!
It is now complete and even has a label!
It was inspired by a magazine cover,
from APQ magazine,
Sept 2003.
I modified the design to include
scrappy pieced lattice, scrappy random
borders and assorted square centers.
This will now live in our family room!
This darling measure 66" x 68" and
has a flannel back and a 5oz. poly batt.
It's nice! I'm afraid to say how some of my tops have been laying around waiting to be finished.
ReplyDeleteIt looks beautiful. Nothing wrong with a quilt spending some calm time waiting its turn to be quilted. I have a lot of tops waiting -- they are easier to store as tops rather than a quilt. (Or that's my excuse for not quilting some!) Hope you have a happy, quilty week.
ReplyDeleteI will and just got word of a drive by scrapping happening tomorrow ,so more fuel for the sewing!
DeleteSo colorful! Those batiks really shine in this quilt! Love the pieced lattice; it really makes the quilt!
ReplyDeleteThank you, it used up more scraps too!
DeleteBeautiful and happy scrap quilt.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on a fabulous scrappy UFO finish!!
ReplyDeleteLove all the scrappy goodness. Fabulous quilt!
ReplyDeleteCompleted quilt - what could be better! It is a terrific quilt and so glad it made it to TGIFF!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun colorful quilt! I bet it feels good to have it finished!
ReplyDeleteAhhh, when they languish that long, it's even sweeter when they are finished! It's funny I always felt that a pin basted quilt gives you a feel for what the finished quilt will be like. Love that you've even used them like that! Enjoy this beauty!
ReplyDeleteDoesn't it feel great to finish something that's been languishing? Congratulations on a great finish. Thanks for sharing on Wednesday Wait Loss.
ReplyDeleteWell done on your quilt finish. It's magnificent!!!!!
