The Summit!

The mountain quilt is complete!

Mountains!  first appeared in the Design Wall Record

( like the Burgess Shale for fossils)

on December 14, in the year of Covid , 2020.

I managed to pin this

behemoth during a sew day.

It has a double batting of a layer of

Hobbs 80/20 and 50 oz poly since it is

 heading to the mountains of

British Colombia!

I had a blast quilting it with

straight lines on my

 domestic machine,

( not a wild one , to hard to catch, sorry need a cuppa!)

By the time the quilting was over ,

the floor was littered with things

 knocked off by flinging quilt!

My DH would look over every time something

hit the floor , pick whatever it was up and

try to move it out of the danger zone.

We ended up with a big pile of sewing

gear on the computer desk!

The quilting makes it very interesting ,

and the colors just seem to warm up!!

This large bed quilt (84 x 94)

will get packed up today

and head out to the

Rockies on a ski trip. It

is for a mountain climbing

buddy and family.

The matching baby quilt

 was mailed to

the new arrival a few weeks ago.

We have been enjoying it for a few

days, displayed on the railing . I will

miss seeing it but did manage to show it

off to the few visitors we had.

The pizza guy really liked it!?!

So save a Whoop Whoop for me!
